Still can not decide on which tablet

Yesterday, ask a youngster and an oldie to shop for tablet.
End up I window shopping alone in Sim Lim Square
They dun understand why I spent so much time window shopping
The youngster even throw a tantrum and give me a hard time.
Well if i m in west, I can order online and after one month I dun like i return it.

After the new year, I notice Memory World has done a great job
and distribute Archos to almost every shop in Sim Lim
Even My favoure Archos 701 250 HDD is out too although in limited amount
http://4dthinker.blogspot.com/2010/12/archos-70-review-250gb-and-android-221.html
But I hesitated as I read about the hacking of ViewSonic Gpad as compare to Archos

Furthermore I also just came back from Zhuhai, and did not have time to goto ShenZheng
Where some of the Shanzai tablet or cpad is made
Luckily in Sim Lim some of the vendor help you to bring back some of latest cpad

The Cpad has improved some of the Android
Some tablet could be old tablet and upgrade to version 2
Few even upgrade to Android 2.2

It is the hardware feature that I am considering
The oldie want a tablet with 3G
Only one shop dare to say they able to support it
(one said those tablet only support China telcos network)
(One Singaporean salesman told me that there is a connection light but
the network connection fails)

The only shop at #04 said either you can used their USB dongle which has a label
of O2 behind and able to surf 3G
Better still is 10" Cpad can connect to Ethernet
While my fancy 7" Cpad need a micro USB to RJ45 connect from neighbour shop
which sell at $140!!

Probably I will go down with oldie with our own USB dongles to test it out

If can then I hold Archos 70i for the time being as i wait for others
like the motorola Xoom etc

and spend time to hack the tablet for learning purposes

While to be fair to Archos, this blog also link to few sites who has purchase
the Archos 70i either models
Hopefully Archos will learn from Cpad the technology and extension
and come with few more variant ahead of other tablets in year 2011

As in last post ForumAchosFanWhoPurchase70
the comment which also reflect my view
I took a chance on you, Archos: fresh young stallion, so early out of the gate, you couldn't possibly have the legs to finish! Nope, we have a winner! HDMI, 6-7 hr. battery, 2.2 maybe higher, 1ghz processor. Sounds a lot like/close enough the stuff just annouced by Tosh, no Viz, no Sam, I'm sorry Asu, oops that should be Ace, aww shucks!!! Guess it doesn't matter which one, they all cost $400-600, right? Umm...right? HA, HA, HA! (That's me towards the proverbial bank)

Maybe I will end up buying a Archos 70i 250 HDD ...
