There is lot of posts on this and could be not your hp models
However, this guy give a basic and pictures view
(but he is too good that his website is copy protected
but I forward to my blog and hopefully it can be edited)
Step 1. Connect your Hp to PC, hp setting
Developer options
(remember https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgkibXOtV9k ?)
set USB debugging On
Also MTP on
Step 2. download PC the zip and open with windows explorer
Now you can see those files
but you should "copy" those file and create another folder and put inside
Step 3. Switch off your phone and disconnect hp to PC
(later you got ROOT you can download app AnReboot
and you can fast shutdown your hp ...)
Step 4. Remember Do not connect your hp to PC yet
(or you may end up Recovery mode)
That why this blog is better as got the picture instruction
Step 5. Download mode (only Samsung go this)
You still can press Volume down to cancel this operation
but do come back and press Volume up to continue
Step 6 Run Odlin from new folder
Step 7 Connect the hp
(if error go back step 1 or install USB driver via Samsung Klies)
Step 8
again find the CF-ROOT under the new folder
Step 9 Press Start and patient and wait for 20 min
Step 10 wait until Green button
(in between it not recorded even on this post so wait)
Step 11
may or not disconnect the hp and reboot
Step 12 Check superUS icon
Everything else look the same
try download
You can use diskusage as per normal
but you will never see the ROOT or (symbol /) (or Root directory)
you can only see /Storage/extSDcard as your fake "ROOT"
so you can not goto eg /app
or /data
or /system etc
When you click on /
Then SuperUSer will appear
(ok lah dun confuse you, the proper name for this app
is SuperUser or SuperSU ...)
Other app that need SuperSU or ROOT
like SDmaid
Online Nandroid backup (need busybox)
Titanium backup
AnReboot
Root (file)explorer
As mention, you can download Root Checker to verify you are ROOT or not
13. Thirteen can be unlucky number
but actually ROOT is not risky
It can be complex as
you need to find your own model how to Root
and there are various methods to Root
So this document may be useless to you
unless you going to Root a Samsung or more specify GT7105 note 2
Even for same model there are various ways
but that reference good for beginner
But once it is done
You feel the achievement like go to the top of mountain
and found nothing fantastic or difficulty
You just can see from a higher view. That's all fork
Thanks for reading
Cheers !
