burn DVD span multiple disk

I went to Sim Lim Square late

Almost can not find DVD RW

Then at #04-59
Jennifer Office Supply

Got this DVD-RW 19966
$14 for 10pieces
($2 for one piece if buy separately)

So Cheap as the first floor display hall cost even more i think
it is $2 or more per pieces

Most of all, she was kind to tell me there is DVD- and DVD+
in layman term DVD- is to be compatible with old technology (i am one of them)

Then I need to copy HDD directory span over few DVD

Working with two WinToGo HDD

There is a fault in working with WinToGo HDD

the SSD WinToGo server may get confuse and reboot or hang by itself

Anyway, I have now two WinToGo USB 2.0 HDD

so I thought of connecting to the nettop with  WinToGo SSD

First of all, here is the experiment results for few booting up session

1. Boot with a USB WinToGo will seem always got the USB boot up
no matter how to change in the Bios

2. With two USB WinToGo, I can choose and swop to boot from either
of the USB WinToGo 2.0 HDD

3. No matter inside the Bios, I disable USB HDD boot up or devices
(also only one USB HDD will appear - I think HitaChi does appear most)

After the experiment, I removed both USB HDD
and boot into SSD HDD on windows 8.1

Then those strange phenomenon occur
the screen flip or hang
later it auto reboot few times

(Maybe the previous session, the USB HDD is running
so it still trigger the internal wintogo server to believe there is another session of
external wintogo is running)

at the end win 8 boot into repair screen

However, this time I continue to boot to Win8
(Then i plug in the USB HDD after bios session)

then boot into Windows 7
(hoping it does a disk repair by itself)

Finally go back boot into Win 8 with any USB HDD attached

So for my configurations
of using ECS nettops MotherBoard
So far that is the only way to use the external USB HDD
is to boot from just internal SSD
Then after Bios and/or Window 8 UEFI screen appear
then i connect the USB - very bad  but no choice at the moment

WinToGo seem to pickup few files from original server

it even carry forward the

virus

HDD can boot up (no auto reboot continuously)


This time, a window setup is prompt


I choose an new setup rather than follow the SSD configuration


After setup up
I did remove drives of EFI and system recovery on SSD
the virus put a websearch on home page I remove too
but have not install anti virus yet


also Hotmail and Gmail able to login via cache
(or maybe because I still have the ext HDD connect to the internal SSD ?)
the I do the google drive

after I keep removing all those files


then Google drive prompt I am disconnect


then all the files is free up

After I accidentally upload the temp directories twice

Re: write and copy speed simulation by Win 8.1

after one night of copy

stop at a very long name files

only option is to skip

(sad win 8 and NTFS still can not copy long file name

that file was in sharepoint and it is a jpg file)

luckily it is end of the copy process

Anyway the average speed is as below

also I can do another copy of same both hdd

with different directories

(the process start with reading of the to be copied files

with no of files and size then will transfer automatically)

the speed will vary

with just the copy process it will stabilize like speed in the above abt 16MB/s

with of course less priority to second copy process 

dun know if this is the new win 8 features

but this Unix like capability is good to have

or maybe because i am using Win 8 Enterprise (with WinToGo)

so this copy behave like a server 

definitely beat the iOS

the others is MDT 20Gb USB 2 HDD

Sam is a Toshiba 500Gb USB 3 HDD

Starting to Consolidate all the ext USB HDD

Standardize to label those disk with manufacturer name

and also drive name

Aim

To clear the content inside Hitachi disk

and make it to be WinToGo

as it is a USB 2 HDD

then i put in 3HDD

also do another copy process

then do third copy process

it slow the first copy

I can not stop the copy process

as i can not change single head cable for Toshiba

if not i can put in iomega (Single head will beep as lower power)

and test the max number this PC can handle

{later discover that nettop USB 2.0 port
are not able to give power to drive USB 3.0 singlet head
to toshiba HDD, it will keep beep}

maybe i can even connect up to as much i can have

also the number of file manager process
