I got this from IceStage after app2zip seem to be failed to backup system apk

The documentations and support seem very good

The installation work fine and smooth

I download Android Terminal Emulator

(this work as last time seem not able to run it using landscape mode in viewpad )

the best way to run is to run adb shell as in


C:\Users\tin.koh>cd C:\THL W1\root and backup\TP root tool

C:\THL W1\root and backup\TP root tool>adb shell

how to root THL W1

One method is teach by YS

I think mobileuncle provide an enhance version
and even push superuser.apk

The other method is using .zip file

and I will find the link later

update to THL官方最新0816线刷包ROM

Last night with help of YS and his netbook (with all MTK USB drivers loaded)

I update W1 to the latest official THL ROM

and again with his help I rooted the hp

Then we bluetooth the AnTuTu.apk over and run

and surprising THL W1 got score of 3649

It is a basic ROM with mininum applications
