PC Show Prolink router WNR1004

The whole PC Show I end up only buying the Prolink router WNR1004 for $25

I plug out the cable from the Prolink Power Ethernet adaptor

and extend it to new Prolink wifi router

Because there is 3 modes, I struggle until 2am to get it right

ts very simple, just need to set to Gateway (middle switch)

Or just find the wifi server ProLin_WNR on your hp/tablet

you can then surf easily in your hotel

or in your room which the wifi signal is weak in your flat

It will cater for all the Internet access that I will need

After few trial, I give up the custom ROM

But I struggle again to install any apps

I was force to do FactoryDataReset

still the problem no app can be install even for market update and

So this is what I do to go back to 0.0

I do a CWrecovery

I go for option wipe factory reset and cache

under the CWrecovery

That's the only way to do a superclean reset

Then I use filemgr to install link2SD , app2SD and titanium (I dun use appadmin this time)

Too bad there is no automatic process

I have to like play game and keep press button to continue restore about 166 apps

that only take up just abt 80Mb internal memory left !

Hope to play with all these for this week before I buy 32Gb SD card (PC Show Sunday)

and do the painful process of re-install again

randomly I found one app FBreader is corrupted

using titanium I resort to delete the app

then install from market again

there are few errors during installation and so I will find out one by one later

But still automatic installation process with log will help to build up the system

Last night the battery go low

Hmmm ... yep, I thought it was a bit odd as well, but Root Explorer failed to get root, so I tried Titanium, it spat out the 'Failed to get root access' error. 
I hopped back into WinXP and ran SuperOneClick 1.5 using the ADB.exe from the virtual cdrom which mounts when you plug it into Windows, hit 'Root' which always took 2 goes as it did this time
; it reported as 'rooted', but I lazily didn't follow the remainder of the instruction given here about changing permissions of su.
 Booted the tab back up and it was still not rooted, ran z4root from the market .. sorted Could it be to do with the fact that I didn't do a wipe before flashing, would that leave some data/security related settings behind? or maybe it's to do with something in /hidden?? .. call it a hunch, but since I got this I have always felt that it is more 'locked down' than it first seems (cue the x-files music)
